Halsey gave an emotion-filled, stripped down, piano ballad rendition of her single “Without Me,” dressed in an impeccably beautiful black sheer gown while her powerful, fierce vocals were showcased with just a piano instrumental backing her vocals. The “Without Me” performance on SNL really allowed the emotion behind the lyrics to shine on national television putting her ex on blast for cheating with what appears to be handwritten apologies and someone admitting to cheating on ‘Ashley’ which is Halsey’s real friend name.

“Without Me” is Halsey’s first No. 1 Single and her first solo single since her 2017 album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, which was a fan favorite and well received record. Halsey has since released a remix of the No. 1 hit single with Juice Wrld which you can hear, HERE. Check out her stripped down performance of the song below:

During Halsey’s Saturday Night Live appearance, Halsey not only hosted the show but also had two unbelievably incredible performances including her “Without Me” performance but also her unique one-of-a-kind performance of “Eastside” which she performed while painting on a massive canvas on live television for her second performance during the show. We have never seen a performance like this very unique one, not only did she sing but also paint a portrait of herself which we found very impressive and distinctive to her performance.

“Eastside” is a song that Halsey is featured on with Benny Blanco and Khalid, she held down the vocals herself whilst painting the larger than life portrait on the floor upside down. This is just an extra taste of her artistic side, proving that Halsey is not only a global pop sensation but also a very creative person in general showcasing that within her live painting art. “Eastside” can be found on Benny Blanco’s latest EP, Friends Keep Secrets (via Interscope Records), and you can pick up the album, HERE.

Halsey served double duty on this episode of ‘SNL’ as both host and musical guest and she slayed the positions, also appearing in a sketch during the show which also featured Cecily Strong and Melissa Villaseñor. Check out her full performance of “Eastside” whilst painting below:

Halsey thanked the cast at the end of the show for “making this the best week of my entire life.”
