Granger Smith kicked off CMT’s Campfire Sessions with stripped down performance on Thursday (Jan. 28).
According to a CMT press release, the series will include a “collection of acoustic, feel-good performance that reimagines a traditional campfire sing-a-long with today’s top artists sharing songs and stories fireside, a nod to the nostalgia and intimacy of storytelling that is synonymous with country music.”
Smith performed a collection of hit fan-favorite hits as well as some new songs including “Backroad Song,” “Happens Like That,” “Mexico,” “Hate You Like I Love You” and more. Performing the tracks live from his Yee Yee Farm just outside of Austin, TX.
The “Hate You Like I Love You” singer launched the series that will continue in February with Jimmie Allen. Other artists performing on upcoming episodes include Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson and The War And Treaty.
All episodes of the new original series will premiere on CMT’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
