Gabby Barrett pulled herself from the upcoming 2021 CMT Music Awards.
The reigning 2021 CMT Female Video Of The Year nominee revealed the news via an Instagram post informing fans of the news on Monday, June 7. Barrett shared that due to “personal circumstances” she will be unable to perform alongside Lady A and Carly Pearce this Wednesday (June 9) at the CMT Music Awards.
“Still thinking back to last year’s CMT Music Awards performance and my very first award win 😍 Such a special moment that I will never forget,” Barrett shared. “I’m really sad to share that because of personal circumstances I won’t be able to perform with Lady A and Carly Pearce on Wednesday at the CMT ! I’ll be rooting for you guys and all of the incredibly talented nominees and performers! ❣️So appreciate all of your support and will see y’all on the road this summer :)”

Additionally, the Pennsylvania native is up for 1 nod at the 2021 awards show for Female Video Of The Year with the music video to her current single at country radio, “The Good Ones.”
Barrett made her performance debut at the 2020 CMT Music Awards with a performance of her chart-topping debut single, “I Hope,” alongside her husband Cade Foehner.
During the 2020 awards ceremony, the country superstar also took home the award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (“I Hope”), marking her very first major awards show win. The award was presented to Barrett by worldwide superstar Taylor Swift.
