Gabby Barrett has revealed that she is releasing an additional song ahead of the release of her highly-anticipated debut album, Goldmine. The 13-track album is set to be released on June 19 via Warner Music Nashville and you can preorder it now HERE. The debut effort includes the already released tracks “I Hope,” “Got Me” feat. Shane & Shane, “Hall Of Fame,” “I Hope” remix feat. Charlie Puth and her latest single “The Good Ones.”

In a recent Instagram livestream with Lindsay Ell, Barrett was asked what song she is most excited about on the upcoming record.

Upon answering the question, Barrett unveiled that she really loves “Got Me” featuring her favorite Christian duo Shane & Shane and that she was thrilled to work with them. She then labeled “Got Me” one of her “star ones cause it’s so cool and it’s so different to have that on an album that has completely different songs on it.”

“We’re going to actually release another song before the album comes out,” Barrett then revealed to Ell. “That next one is probably the one that I’m really excited about and it’s called ‘Footprints On The Moon.’ It’s a really really really cool song and I wrote it with the same people that I wrote ‘I Hope’ with, Jon Nite and Zachary Kale, so I’m excited about it.”

You can listen to Barrett’s full interview with Ell below.

We recently spoke to Barrett and asked her the question everybody wants to know the answer to and that is, will “Footprints On The Moon” be released ahead of the album and if she has a release date set. She did exclusively confirm to Music Mayhem that “Yes” the song is in-fact coming out before the record but said that she “don’t have the release date.”

However with just under 2 weeks to go before the release of her album, “Footprints On The Moon” is destined to be released soon.

When speaking on the inspiration behind the song, Barrett explained: “I wanted to have a song on the album that was an encouraging song, just something that I would’ve like to have heard when I was in High School or whatever the case was. It’s just an encouraging song for people to go for their dreams and really reach for the sky because the sky is the limit.”

“Especially if there are footprints on the moon, literally, if somebody could walk on the moon which we never thought that would happen, you are able to work hard and achieve some great things here on Earth. So that is just an encouraging song that I wish [that] I had in High School when I was going through harder times, just really grinding it out and nobody really believed in me so I just hope it’s an encouraging song that people will gravitate towards.”
