American Idol alums Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner have officially tied the knot during a ‘Rustic’ wedding in Texas yesterday, Saturday, October 5th. Barrett and Foehner exchanged vows in front of 100 of their closest friends and family members at Union Springs in Garrison, TX, PEOPLE Magazine Confirmed.
Barrett and Foehner met during their respective runs on Season 16 of American Idol in 2018, the two immediately fell in love and Foehner decided to propose to Barrett in March 2019 in which they didn’t waste any time to getting to making it official and becoming husband and wife.
“We wanted a small, intimate wedding with close friends and family,” Barrett shared with PEOPLE prior to their wedding day. “We can’t wait to have everyone we love under one roof to help send us off into this new season.”
The couple decided to marry in Texas as that is where Foehner is from and cause of the woods. They love Texas as Barrett told PEOPLE “I spent a lot of time [in Texas] this summer with his [Foehner’s] family, it’s a great place to get off the grid and relax, The venue is in a neat little private area down some dirt roads, which totally fits out style.” Continuing to tell about the decor at the wedding saying, “Texas is such a perfect backdrop for the start of our marriage,” Barrett said. “The setting of our wedding in the woods really influenced the décor and feel of our big day.”
Barrett, 19, said that she and Foehner, 23, are now Mr. and Mrs. Foehner. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
