Former American Idol contestant Doug Kiker has been arrested!

According to a report from TMZ, Kiker was arrested in Alabama on misdemeanor domestic violence charges on Thursday night (May 13). The outlet reported that the charge is for harassment.

TMZ reported that police officers responded to a report of domestic violence on Thursday evening allegedly involving Kiker and an adult female, the female is the person who called 911. It’s unclear who the female was or the nature of their relationship. The police officers who responded to the scene investigated and determined there was probable cause to arrest Kiker, in which they arrested him. The former contestant is now imprisoned on $1,000 bond.

Kiker previously brought Idol judge Katy Perry to tears with his cover of Rascal Flatts’ “Bless The Broken Road.”
