Foo Fighters gave an electrifying performance of AC/DC’s “Back In Black” during ‘Vax Live’ on Saturday, May 8.

Joined by AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, Foo Fighters gave a rockin’ rendition of the classic AC/DC hit alongside Johnson himself at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

“So considering that this is the first show [in front of an audience] that we’ve done in a year and a half — a long time — we thought that we would make this a special occasion for all of us,” Dave Grohl said. “So say you want to do something special, what do you do? Call a friend to come play with you, right? Why not call one of your good friends who happens to be a rock legend to come jam with you.”

The one-of-a-kind performance also marked Johnson’s return to the stage, as he hasn’t done much after some hearing issues forced him to take a hiatus from the popular rock group (AC/DC) in 2016, which the band had Axl Rose filling-in for him during their remaining tour dates. Johnson has not performed in a live setting as the frontman of AC/DC since February 2016, but has rejoined the band for their 2020 album, Power Up.

Foo Fighters also performed their popular hit song “Everlong” during the pre-taped concert.

Hosted by Selena Gomez, Vax Live: The Concert To Reunite The World aired on Saturday, May 8 on ABC, ABC News Live, CBS, YouTube and iHeartMedia/iHeartRadio. The concert also included performances by Jennifer Lopez, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, J. Balvin and H.E.R.
