As the California wildfires continue to rage through the state with the devastation of homes lost, celebrities homes being destroyed in the flames, and lives are lost as Firefighters brave the flames and help as many people, houses, and pets as possible. Their tireless efforts in tackling the devastating wildfires which have ravaged the state deserved to the recognized by many but the first to recognize are not only those who they have helped and their families but now Foo Fighters’ vocalist Dave Grohl stepped up to the plate and decided to cook some BBQ food for Calabasas’ Fire Station 68 with a free BBQ meal on Monday night (Nov. 12th). Grohl provided the firefighters with savory meats with his newly launched Backbeat BBQ.

“It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters . He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq . Thanks Dave! It was excellent!” the Calabasas’ fire station wrote on Instagram. You can see their post on Instagram below.

The wildfires has claimed 42 lives in the region so far. The Woolsey Fire in the south has affected parts of Los Angeles, killing two people and devastating scores of properties in such locations as Malibu. California remains in a state of emergency as the fires continue to claim more lives and property. Fellow musicians including Neil Young, Miley Cyrus, and Fred Durst all lost their homes in the blaze, while many others were forced to evacuate. Please visit the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund for information on how to make the appropriate donations in support.
