Florida Georgia Line released the deluxe edition of their latest album, Life Rolls On, and it features a new FGL remix of their Nelly collaboration, “Lil Bit.”
On Friday (Feb. 19), the band dropped the new twangy, country remix of the song which features a new verse from Tyler Hubbard.
“Hey, what’s up baby / how you doing / Where you come from and what’s your name / I sure do like the way you’re moving / How about you move over my way / that’s right just a lil bit / yeah, I’m going to get the next round / we can drink about it / let’s get to thinkin’ if you think we need to think about it / the way I seen it we got nothing to lose and I kind of got something to prove,” Hubbard sings on the new verse.
“Lil Bit (FGL Remix)” was co-written by Hubbard, Nelly, Blake Redferrin and Jordan Schmidt.

The original version of the track was released in October 2020 and is expected to appear as the lead single on Nelly’s upcoming country-influenced EP, Heartland.
“Music brings all types of people together, and this is a dope track that merges my hip-hop style with [Florida Georgia Line’s] country style once again,” Nelly said of the song upon it’s release, “and I hope it will draw both hip-hop fans and country fans to it.”
Although, Nelly has had several collaborations within the country genre, he has never had an entire album within the genre and his forthcoming album, Heartland, is not a country album but a country influenced project. Nelly has been featured on country hits including Tim McGraw’s “Over And Over Again,” Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” remix, Kane Brown’s “Cool Again” remix and more recently Jimmie Allen’s “Good Times Roll.”
“Heartland is a Nelly album but it’s country influenced, it’s not a country album,” the rapper explained of his forthcoming new EP. “I respect the art form that is country music, I respect the artist and what they put into it, I don’t live a country life to feel like I am a country artist but I have a love and appreciation for country music and I’m showing how it influences Nelly and I think that’s what you want to do as an artist, is to be able to bring people together and to do things that other artists can’t do.”
