Eminem made a surprise appearance on the 2020 Oscars stage, performing his hit “Lose Yourself” from the 2002 movie, 8 Mile. The song that won him an Oscar in 2003, for best original song, although he was not present to accept the award at the 2003 ceremony. His performance ended with a massive standing ovation from the star-studded crowd.
After his performance tonight (Feb. 9), Eminem took to Twitter to tweet, “Look, if you had another shot, another opportunity… Thanks for having me @TheAcademy. Sorry it took me 18 years to get here.”
