Elton John Shares Special Message To JoJo Siwa Before Siwa Performs “Boomerang” During ‘Can’t Cancel Pride’

JoJo Siwa ended the show with an incredible finale performance of her debut single, “Boomerang.”

Following a special message from the iconic Elton John, who honored Siwa for being a young trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community, the bow maker and singer was joined by dancers and a special rendition of her popular single “Boomerang.”

“I’m overjoyed that you joined our beautiful community,” John gushed of Siwa. “Love is love and people are people and that is that. Not to mention your fantastic style. Happy pride and big love to everyone.”

“It’s time to celebrate being who you are and loving who you love,” Siwa said during her performance atop a rainbow stage.

The 2021 Can’t Cancel Pride benefit event also featured appearances from Brothers Osborne, Bebe Rexha, Busy Phillips, Gus Kenworthy, Hayley Kiyoko, Jasmine Mans, Jennifer Hudson, Lil Nas X, Marshmello, MJ Rodriguez, Nina West, P!NK, Ricky Martin, Regard, Troye Sivan, Dolly Parton, Brandi Carlile, Kylie Minogue, Leslie Odom Jr., Karamo Brown and Tan France of Queer Eye, Yola, Years & Years’ Olly Alexander, Pete and Chasten Buttigieg and Tate McRae.

The 1-hour long event brought together some of the biggest names in culture and entertainment to seek inspiration from the letters in PRIDE symbolizing Power & Purpose, Respect & Relationships, Individuality & Intersectionality, Dance & Defy, and Equality & Everybody.

Co-hosted by Elvis Duran and Bebe Rexha during Pride Month, Can’t Cancel Pride aired on Friday, June 4, across iHeartRadio social media as well iHeartRadio’s PrideRadio.com and on iHeartMedia Radio Stations Nationwide and the iHeartRadio App.
