Elton John performed the 2020 Oscar nominated original song ‘(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again’ from the hit movie, Rocketman. Elton John performed the song at the 92nd Academy Awards, he also won an Oscar for ‘Best Original Song.’
“I’m gonna love me again, Check in on my very best friend,” John sang, adorn in his signature pink sunglasses and flamboyant purple suit, performing on his bright red Yamaha piano. The performance was in front of some animated graphics that represented the movie, Rocketman, including the iconic star sunglasses.
Later in the evening he accepted his second Oscar award with collaborator Bernie Taupin, accepting the award saying, “This is a dream for us, we’ve never been nominated for anything like this.” This is John’s second Oscar win out of four career nominations.
