Orange County, California rock band, Eclipsica dropped an epic rock rendition of Luke Combs’ chart-topping hit “Beer Never Broke My Heart” on Friday (July 24).
The impressive rock cover came with a very vibrant, well-produced music video by Kevin Garcia.
“A month or so ago we got bored and put together this little project,” Eclipsica explained in a social media post. “Huge thanks to @jay_sparring for always being so accommodating at his studio @straitjacketstudios as well as @kevinstuff @mashed_tater and @everythingsahologram (billy too) for helping us create the sickest possible video to accompany the music! Can’t forget a tremendous thanks to @beermemike and to @rogueales for providing us with the refreshments.”
“Longneck ice cold beer never broke my heart / Like diamond rings and football teams have torn this boy apart / Like a neon dream, it just dawned on me, that bars and this guitar / And longneck ice cold beer never broke my heart,” sings frontman Danny Stone during the country hit.
Eclipsica consists of Danny Stone on Vocals, Marky Midnite on Drums, Roc Perez on Bass, Vik Sunday on Guitar and Adam Garret on Guitar.
Pre-pandemic, The band was slated to head out on a two-week U.S. tour with a stop performing at the infamous EarthDay Birthday Music Festival in Orlando, FL. The festival was supposed to take place in April with acts like Shinedown, Fozzy, New Year’s Day and many more – the event has now been postponed until 2021, where the band will still perform on the event.
“Beer Never Broke My Heart” was co-written by Combs alongside Randy Montana and Jonathan Singleton and Scott Moffatt produced the original track. The Combs’ song marks his sixth single release to country radio, and the first from his second studio album What You See Is What You Get on Columbia Records Nashville.
