Demi Lovato has reached a big milestone in her recover, just three months after overdosing, Lovato has made 90 days sober. Her mother, Dianna De La Garza, appeared on Maria Menounos’ Sirius XM podcast on Friday, where she revealed that Lovato is still in recovery and has reach 90 days of being sober.

De La Garza says, “Yes, she has 90 days and I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work, it’s very hard, it’s not easy, and there are no shortcuts.” De La Garza adding in that that she “can’t really say for sure” what triggered Lovato’s relapse in July. This conversation was during ‘Conversations with Maria Menounos.’

A source told E! News that Demi “will be in rehab for several months and is doing an extensive program to ensure she gets the help she needs.”

The recovery process will take time, but according Lovato’s mom, things are off to a great start.
