UK’s largest rock and heavy metal festival has announced a few of the headline performances for its 15th anniversary of Download Festival. The performances include headline sets from Def Leppard (who will be performing their fourth album, Hysteria, in full), TOOL, and Slipknot

Download festival takes place at Donington Park, Leicestershire, on 14-16 June. TOOL’s headlining performances marks the bands first Download Festival performance since headlining the festival in 2006. Earlier this year vocalist Maynard James Keenan hinted that the band would be working on their first album in over a decade, likely to come out next year. Since the formation of Def Leppard in Sheffield in 1977 the band has sold over a 100 million records with Hysteria (1987), selling over 25 million copies worldwide spawning their most successful music like hit “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” The band headline the festival twice in 2009 and 2011. Their forthcoming performance on Download Festival will mark the bands only UK performance in 2019. Slipknot performed at Download Festival five times now, the bands most recent appearance at the festival was just three years ago in 2015. Their 2019 performance will be their first live show since vocalist Corey Taylor announced that a new album is coming and due to be released next year.

The Download lineup also includes Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash (who is performing with vocalist Myles Kennedy), along with the South African duo Die Antwoord and Welsh ska-metal band Skindred.
