David Morris Announces First-Ever Headlining Tour: “There’s No Better Feeling Than Being On Stage”

After touring with rising artists including Kidd G. and Jelly Roll, up-and-coming singer-songwriter and rapper David Morris is set to hit the road in 2023 on his first headlining “Hometown Heartbreak Tour.”

The tour will take the Charleston, WV native across the country, beginning at Gainesville, FL’s High Dive on February 19 and hitting major cities including Atlanta, New York and Washington before coming to a close on April 22 at Cincinnati, OH’s Top Cats.

This exciting announcement comes on the heels of the news that Morris will be joining Russell Dickerson for select dates on the “I Wonder” singer’s upcoming She Likes It Tour in February 2023.

“I’m beyond excited to be hitting the road this spring,” shared Morris in a release. “There’s no better feeling than being on stage and hearing people sing along to my songs. I can’t wait to meet all my fans and put on one hell of a show!”

“We have a lot of great music on deck and a lot of pop sounding records and big stuff and more Dutton Ranch stuff,” said Morris — who is looking forward to sharing new layers of his artistry — in an interview with Music Mayhem. “What’s hard is creating an audience and a fan base that’s gonna stay with you because you have a story, because you’re saying something of value. There’s so much music these days that’s here and gone. So it’s just really important to us to continue to let people know that I have something to say of value.”

Morris’ tour announcement was a fitting way to close out the hitmaker’s record-breaking, career-altering year. In 2022, the singer saw great success with viral back-to-back hits “Carrying Your Love” and “Dutton Ranch Freestyle,” both tracks contributing significantly to his 110M global artist streams. Morris’ latest single, “Broken Heartland,” was written solely by Morris, showing fans a stripped down and raw side of the rising star that highlights West Virginia in the unique, genre bending style.
