On Saturday, June 6, Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba sustained severe but not life threatening injuries after a motorcycle accident said Carrabba in an Instagram post. Carrabba said that he owes “the amazing doctors, nurses and medical team” for treating him with endless gratitude. He says that he is “determined” to make a full recovery, but he says he has more “surgeries and months of rehab to come.”

Today (June 16), Carrabba gave fans an update on his condition, saying that he had a second surgery that was very successful and he thanks fans for their kindness.

“Second surgery successful. Long road ahead,” Carrabba updated fans via Instagram on Tuesday (June 16). “Thank you for your kindness. I don’t know how I’d get through this without all of you.”
