Danielle Bradbery is a rapidly rising talented country artist, Bradbery burst onto the music scene when she won Season 4 of NBC’s The Voice and released her hit song “The Heart of Dixie” shortly after her win.  Since that time Bradbery has been extremely busy writing music and performing across the country. She recently released her highly successful cover of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” from the record breaking movie, A Star Is Born. We sat down with Bradbery to discuss the cover and her upcoming performance on Brantley Gilbert’s ‘Kick It In The Ship’ Cruise, read our interview below.

You released a cover of the ‘A Star Is Born’ anthem “Shallow” featuring Parker McCollum, and it was absolutely fabulous, What inspired you to want to cover this song and how do you go about choosing a male vocalist for the male part?
I heard the song “Shallow” before seeing the movie, and when I first heard it, it screamed “country song”…lyrics, melodies, etc. My team actually suggested covering it, and I was totally on board! Choosing the male part didn’t take me long to decide. I’ve been a fan of Parker for a while and wanted him to get even more heard for his talent so we went ahead and asked him to be on it! His voice was the perfect fit for this song!!

You performed at CMA Fest this past year and were incredible on the Riverfront Stage, What would be 3 of your most memorable moments from CMA Fest?
There’s always so much going on during CMA fest it’s hard to choose! The fans make everything so memorable! If they already don’t live in town, you have people from everywhere flying/driving in for this week of country music and it’s incredible! All the days are just full of amazing memories!!

What is one of your favorite summer vacation spots?
Hands down Alys Beach!! That whole area is so beautiful and definitely the place to be to get away! Fun fact, it’s actually where Thomas Rhett and I shot my music video for “Goodbye Summer”.

Coming up in November, you will be headed out on Brantley Gilbert’s ‘Kick It In The Ship’ BG Cruise traveling from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico on a 4-day cruise. What are you most looking forward to onboard the cruise this year?
I’m very excited about this cruise and so thankful I was asked to join!! I’m looking forward to everything because it’s actually my first time going on a cruise! So I’m pretty pumped.

What can fans expect from your performance on the cruise?
I hope a lot of fun! Everyone will be there to party and I’m the only female artist, so hopefully I can keep up with all the guys. haha!!

What will you be doing in Cozumel, Mexico when the cruise docks there for the day?
I’ve never been, so definitely going to explore as much as I can, I’m excited to see everything!

The BG Cruise has a few theme nights, which one of those nights is called the ‘Redneck Yacht Club,’ What redneck yacht club attire will you guys be wearing?
I gotta bring my overalls or something! I’ll try to pull some redneck clothes out… This should be good!!

There are a lot of unique activities on the BG Cruise like flip clip tournaments, bowling with Brantley and more, will you be participating in any unique experiences while on the cruise?
I’d love to! All of it sounds so fun so count me in.. I am known to be pretty good at flip cup!

Anything else you’d like to say about yourself or the cruise?
No, Just that it’s going to be a blast!!!!

What is coming up for Danielle Bradbery in the near future?
Definitely new music. Until then I will be writing my butt off and putting together exciting things for you guys. I won’t keep everyone waiting long… I promise!
