Eagle-eyed fans of grunge rockers HOLE were quick to notice an Instagram post by former HOLE frontwoman Courtney Love which showed the band in what appeared to be rehearsals somewhere in Los Angeles. The post was quickly deleted but not before several screenshots were captured by fans and the rumors of a reunion began to swirl.
The photo posted to Instagram showed Love, drummer Patty Schemel and bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur playing together on a studio stage. Love captioned the post, “Whose rusty af? Ladies !!!” and included the hashtags “#hole #rehearsal # tonight #hollywood,” leading us to believe something is in the works. However, guitarist Eric Erlandson was noticeably missing.

When answering questions on Instagram, Love commented, “ah! We r so rusty. Just finding our way through songs n songs we like n riffs seeing what’s what! It’s cool. Af nice to be together.” When asked about any upcoming HOLE concerts, Love replied with two black heart emojis.
In a recent interview that took place back in May with The Guardian Love revealed that she and the other members of HOLE were considering a reunion to celebrate the 25th-anniversary release of the band’s hit 1994 album “Live Through This”.
HOLE has been on hiatus since 2002, although Love released an album called “Nobody’s Daughter” in 2010. The quartet reunited to perform for the first time in 15 years at a party in April 2012. We can only hold out hope that we hear some official news on an official reunion soon!
