Coldplay gave an electrifying performance of their futuristic new song during American Idol on Sunday, May 9.
Surrounded by planets and colorful terrestrial visuals, the hitmakers gave the live debut performance of their latest single, which is guaranteed to have you dancing along.
“You’ve got a higher power / Got me singing every second / Dancing every hour,” frontman Chris Martin croons during the chorus of the song. “Oh, yeah / You’vе got a higher power / And you’re rеally someone / I want to know.”

The award-winning band shared the uplifting Max Martin-produced single called “Higher Power” on Thursday, May 6. And according to a press release, the video was first seen by French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who is currently onboard the International Space Station.
“Higher Power” is rumored to be the first single off of their forthcoming new album.
