Cody Johnson Partners With Get Your Teach On To Help Clear Teacher’s Supply Lists

Cody Johnson is paying it forward.

The “Human” singer has partnered with Get Your Teach On to support the national Clear The List campaign, which helps teachers provide school supplies for their classes ahead of the new school year.

“I am thrilled to share that we are partnering with Get Your Teach On to Clear the List as we approach a new school year,” Johnson said in a press release from Warner Music Nashville. “My wife, Brandi, and I have personally encountered the profound impact that a school teacher has on the future of a child’s life. Please consider joining us in supporting these wonderful humans that give so much of their time, effort, and energy to the future by inspiring the children of the present.”

“Our hope is to make preparation exciting for both teachers and students! And what is more encouraging than having community support, as well as the necessary tools and classroom supplies to kick off a new school year?! We’re giving back in honor of the educators that, quite literally, changed our lives,” he added.

Johnson’s personal campaign is #CoJoClearTheList and his campaign page via Get Your Teach On allows teachers to submit what items they’ll need for the upcoming school year. Those who are interested in getting involved with the campaign can browse through a variety of Amazon wish lists and then choose the teacher or teachers they’d like to support.

In addition, participants can show their receipt to win an exclusive Cody Johnson prize package and nominate a teacher they care about. Twenty teachers will then be selected to win a $300 “self-care surprise” and a free ticket to an upcoming Get Your Teach On conference. Participants can enter to win the promotion now through Aug. 31.

Johnson shared more about his partnership with Get Your Teach On to support teachers across the U.S. via his Instagram page.

Get Your Teach On also posted about their partnership with Johnson, writing how grateful they were for his support. “We couldn’t be happier partnering with our friend @codyjohnson to help #ClearTheList for as many teachers as possible. With the support of him and his community, they’re working to make sure y’all can go back to school with all the resources you need,” they said.

Johnson’s role in the campaign follows his decision to make “Human” his next single at country radio.

“No matter how you feel about politics, no matter how you feel about religion, no matter what race you are, no matter what your background is, no matter how much money you have in your bank account, whether you dress like me or you dress like you do, one thing that we all have in common is the fact that we’re human,” Johnson explained.

“No matter where you’re sitting tonight, we’re all the same, we’ve gone through a lot in this country this last couple years. We’re all doing this together. We all have the same struggles even though our struggles are different and that is exactly why I chose this song to be my next single out to country radio,” he said.

Sharing is caring!
