Chris Young is giving fans another taste of his upcoming eighth studio album with the release of his new song, “One Of Them Nights.”
On Friday (July 9), the country superstar’s infectious new song will be the new soundtrack to your weekend and summer plans.
“It feels like one of them nights / It’s finally Friday, gonna get right / Hay field lookin’ like a runway / Blow them speakers on some country / Yeah, you know what I’m talkin’ ’bout, y’all / No closing time, don’t need a last call / The man in the moon’s gonna leave on the lights / Drop it into four-wheel, feels like one of them nights,” Young sings on the anthemic chorus.
Listen to the new party track below.
“One Of Them Nights” is set to appear on Young’s forthcoming new 14-track album, Famous Friends. The eighth studio album will mark Young’s first new album since the release of his 2017 project, Losing Sleep. Famous Friends is set to be released on August 6.
In addition to “One Of Them Nights,” the album will also include several of his previously released tracks, including the title track, which is his duet with Kane Brown called “Famous Friends,” “Raised on Country,” “Drowning” and “Town Ain’t Big Enough,” a song which features Lauren Alaina.
“There are so many incredibly talented artists, songwriters and producers — all friends of mine — who helped make this album possible,” Young explained. “Having friends share their talents as collaborators, songwriters, producers and more, it’s only natural to call the album Famous Friends.”
The new song comes on the heels of his latest No. 1 single, “Famous Friends,” which features Kane Brown. Young shared that he is “proud” to share his 12th No. 1 single with his own famous friend, Brown.
On Sunday (July 4), Young shared a photo of himself holding up 1 finger to celebrate his single “Famous Friends” going No. 1. “Famous Friends” features Kane Brown and was co-written by Young alongside Corey Crowder and Cary Barlowe.
“Finding out you have the number one song in Country Music is such a crazy feeling. My career started with a #37 #52 #37 in that order,” Young captioned his Instagram photo, celebrating his 12th No. 1 single. “If you had asked me if I ever thought I’d be celebrating my 12th number one… just wow… no words.”
Young later added that he is thrilled to share this No. 1 hit with his longtime friend, Brown, saying, “Kane Brown so proud to share this one with you brother!”
He continued to thank his fan, co-writers, producers and country radio for allowing his single to top the charts.
“Thank you to anyone reading this,” Young added. “Corey Crowder, Cary Barlowe (my co-writers and CC is my coproducer), and all of Country Radio for sending this one to the top!!! #FamousFriends #numberone”
