Chris Ruediger released his upbeat new single, “Til It Wasn’t,” on Thursday (Feb. 25).
The breakup anthem finds the TikTok star singing about a relationship that ran its course and as the lyrics suggest, “we were everything, til we were nothing / it was good, it was good, til it wasn’t.”
Written back in June 2020, Ruediger explains that the infectious track is “about a relationship ending not because of a fight or issue but because it simply ran it course,” adding, “It was beautiful in the moment while it lasted.”
After Ruediger’s sister shared a clip of the new song’s chorus, the track quickly became a fan-favorite and the charts prove that. Since its midnight release, the song climbed the iTunes charts and continues to, as it currently sits at No. 2 on the iTunes Country Chart and at No. 12 on the all genre iTunes chart, above the likes of Billie Eilish, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen and more.

In addition to the new single, Ruediger is currently working on a larger project, which is set for release in May 2021, and has plans to hit the road once it is deemed safe to play live shows again.
Additionally, Ruediger is the Co-Founder (along with Ashley Cooke) of The 615 House, a TikTok and Instagram based project featuring emerging Nashville singers and songwriters. His new single adds to the list of songs by 615 House singers to debut in the Top 10 on the iTunes all genre and country charts, following Cooper Alan’s “Tough Ones,” Tigirlily’s “Somebody Does,” Priscilla Block’s “Just About Over You,” Alexandra Kay’s “We Wouldn’t Be Us,” Thomas Mac’s “Beer vs Women” and more.
