Chris Lane and his wife Lauren Bushnell Lane took their son Dutton Walker Lane on his first beach trip Wednesday (May 18).
The pair each shared photos of their vacation with their son to their respective Instagram pages. In a photo Lauren shared, she sported an orange bikini while husband Chris and son Dutton wore matching red swim trunks. “We have a beach baby!,” Lauren captioned the post, adding a beach umbrella emoji.
“First beach trip with Dutt Dutt,” Chris said, echoing his wife’s sentiments, adding both sunshine and palm tree emojis to his post.
In an interview with Access Hollywood a few weeks prior to the trip, Lauren shared about she and husband Chris’ plans to take a family vacation with their little one.
“In a couple of weeks, we’re going to the beach as a family, which will be really fun,” Lauren said. “Dutton’s never been to the beach. We’re going to a beach that I’ve never been to either, so that will be really fun,” she added.

Dutton also reached another important milestone back in 2021: going to his first concert.
Lauren and Chris took Dutton to one of his dad’s concerts to mark the special occasion. Dutton saw his dad Chris perform at the Margaritaville Hotel Nashville as part of Chris’ Fill Them Boots tour.
“Dutton’s first show,” Chris wrote, sharing an adorable photo of Dutton, himself, and wife Lauren on social media. “Can’t wait to do this every night on the ‘Fill Them Boots Tour,’” he shared.
Dutton, 8 months, is Chris and Lauren’s first child together. He was born on June 8 in Nashville.
In an interview with People back in February, Chris shared that the toughest part of fatherhood for him is that Dutton doesn’t like to sleep.
“It’s been really hard because our little man does not like to sleep very well,” he shared with People. “He’s starting to get it figured out now, but a couple months ago, we were like, ‘There ain’t no way we could even consider having another one.’”
The couple has since changed their minds on not expanding their family, with Lauren revealing to Life & Style Magazine they’d love to have a second child “sooner rather than later.”
“I don’t think it’s like too distant,” she said. “I think we want our kids to be close together.”
“I definitely think that we want [a sibling] for Dutton if we’re able to, hopefully. That’s the plan. So, sooner than later I shall say,” she added.
Chris wrote “Ain’t Even Met You Yet” for son Dutton prior to his birth.
