Chris Lane paid homage to his Mom with a touching new acoustic track, “That’s What Mamas Are For.”
On Friday, May 7, the country superstar and soon-to-be dad shared a beautiful tribute to his mother, just days before Mother’s Day. The track was co-written by Lane alongside Will Bundy, Rodney Clawson, and Ernest Keith Smith and was inspired by a conversation that he had with his own mom and is a thank you to every mother out there.
“As a soon-to-be dad, this Mother’s Day more than ever, I’m just so grateful for my mom and the amazing momma my wife Lauren already is to our baby boy,” Lane said. “This song is to celebrate all the mommas out there. We wouldn’t be who we are today without you.”
The new song comes with an accompanied lyric video, directed by Caleb Donato, that was filmed in Nashville and features some adorable footage captured through the eyes of a couple’s child growing up.

Additionally, “That’s What Mamas Are For” follows his recently released two singles including “Fill Them Boots” and “Summer Job Money.”
