As he prepares to welcome his second child, Chris Lane is sharing more about the biggest adjustment he and wife Lauren made since having their oldest son, Dutton Walker.
Lane recently caught up with Nancy Wilson of K99.1FM at Country Concert 2022 where the “Fill Them Boots” singer revealed more about how his life has changed following his son’s birth.

“So how has being a daddy changed you?” Wilson asked Lane. “You said it was a little, it took a little getting used to. You got it down for baby number two?”
“Oh my gosh, yes,” Lane responded. “I mean, I feel so good coming into baby number two. Because [with baby] number one, you don’t know what to expect. I didn’t know how to change a diaper or anything,” he shared.
“It’s not as hard as I thought it was going to be, but it is also harder than I expected it to be, especially the sleeping side of things. I think that’s been the biggest adjustment for my wife and I both. We both love to sleep and now we don’t get to sleep,” he laughed.
“And baby number two is due on your anniversary?” Wilson followed up.
“Baby number two is supposed to arrive on October 25. Obviously that can change very quickly, but it is true, that is our anniversary, so what a day if it happens on that day,” Lane said.
Lane also shared his thoughts on fatherhood with The Nash News at this year’s Country Jam USA music festival.
“[Fatherhood has] definitely made me a better man, one hundred percent,” Lane told the outlet, later adding, “it has truly been the best thing in the entire world.”
In addition, Lane said how crazy time has flown, as his son Dutton Walker turned one just a few weeks ago.
“It’s crazy how time like, the Kenny Chesney song is true, don’t blink,” he added.
Lane and his wife Lauren announced they were expecting baby number two in early June via social media, writing, “I guess it’s no secret what’s been going on in the Lane household Dutty is gonna be a brother!”
Shortly after breaking the news, Lane’s wife Lauren shared how her second pregnancy was much rougher in the beginning, revealing that she’d been diagnosed with marginal umbilical cord insertion.
Despite the diagnosis, Lauren has remained optimistic, taking to social media again in early July to say she’d gotten her due date wrong and that baby number two was due on she and Lane’s third anniversary.
