Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda Bennington was said to have been remarried on New Year’s Eve according to a report that TMZ falsely made about the marriage. Talinda did reveal that she was engaged to Michael Fredman last September, at the time she wrote on Instagram, “I am overjoyed to announce my engagement to my angel on earth, Michael F.” However, she did not specify the decided wedding date.
TMZ reported that Talinda has remarried on New Year’s Eve to bring in the New Year of 2020, marrying in a ceremony at the Hawaiian Turtle Bay Resort to a firefighter from Los Angeles, CA named Michael Fredman. Continuing to say that the date of December 31st carried a special significance for Talinda Bennington, as that was the day that she married Chester in 2005. The couple had three children (son Tyler and twins Lilly and Lila) together and were together until Chester’s suicide in July 2017.
However, Talinda has taken to Instagram to tell fans and the tabloids alike that she has not yet been wedded to her soon to be husband, Michael Fredman, and that they will be getting married on January 4th, as the embroidered print says on the photos obtained of their soon to be place of marriage.
Talinda said, “With joy and love I want to set something straight. ON JANUARY 4th, I wed a wonderful man, great friend, and son this weekend. We celebrated with all of our family and friends on the beautiful island of O’ahu. The day we chose was a day of meaning, in many different ways. My anniversary with my love, Chester, JAN 1 Was NOT THE DAYE. Jan 1st will always be the day I married Chester. I would never paint over that beautiful day with anything else. To all of the tabloids who printed a false story, inciting anger to me and my husband, who has upset lots of fans, and to create anger and pain, I ask you FOR WHAT?? To make money off of a false headline should be criminal. SHAME ON YOU @TMZ and any other that has repeated the story. Please Repost.”
According to TMZ, Chester Bennington’s relatives have been “super supportive” of her new relationship saying “they think he is a good guy and they’re especially pleased he’s involved with Chester and Talinda’s kids, The family thinks he will help provide stability for the children. We’re told the kids are happy, especially because it makes their mom happy.”
Talinda and Michael are now happily married as of January 4th, the newlyweds wedded in a beautifully elegant ceremony at the Hawaiian Turtle Bay Resort.
