Chayce Beckham has a blast opening up for Dustin Lynch earlier this week, later admitting it was an “honor.”

The American Idol winner joined 95.3 KRTY‘s Clos Concert Series starring headliner Dustin Lynch on Wednesday (July 28) at Clos La Chance, a family-owned and operated winery, in San Martin, California, just 30 minutes from the Silicon Valley. The Apple Valley native and former heavy machinery operator performed his debut single “23” during his opening set.

The 25-year-old singer shared a series of photos captured by Cameron Packee, a content creator for Parmalee, Blanco Brown & more. The series of images shows the singer/songwriter on stage in front of a capacity crowd, overlooking some breathtaking California scenery.

“Thanks @953krty for bringing me out, i had a blast, and it was an honor to open up for Dustin Lynch and watch him do his thing. Such a rad night! Thanks to everyone who came out and thanks for all the love 🤙🏼 📸 @cameronpackeestudio

One fan even shared a video clip of Beckham performing his debut single at the event, which you can watch below.

“23” is a very personal and authentic song to the singer as he sings about his life story and his past struggles with alcohol addiction.

Throughout the autobiographical song he references real life experiences from his past that are true stories.

“Now i’m 23 / and there ain’t nobody who can drink like me / Soon I’ll be 24 / And the Lord knows that I can’t drink no more / I know I should’ve taken it slow / It’s not the way that my life goes / Now I know / When your pass out on the floor,” Beckham sings in the chorus of the track.

Earlier this month, Beckham gave fans an update on new music that is on the way!

“I just got back from writing a song in town today, and it went really good,” the Apple Valley native explained. “I’m really happy with the way the song came out, but we’ve been doing these writes almost everyday for the last few weeks. We’re doing one song a day, two songs again, and I think we’re going to have more songs then we’ll know what to do with.”

He continued to shared that he is so excited to share new music with his fans as the songs are very “special” to him. The former heavy machinery operator told fans he is working on new music and it will be coming out soon.

“So, I’m really excited to get to share some of these songs with y’all and really get your feedback on some of them,” Beckham added. “They’re special to me, so, I just can’t wait to kind of share this with you guys and I just wanted to kind of give you guys an update. I know you guys are waiting for new music and it’s coming soon, so, I’m working on it.”
