American Idol contestant Chayce Beckham has had a “rocky road” consistently of “a lot of ups and downs and a lot of hard times” that led him to audition for American Idol and his audition earned himself a golden ticket to Hollywood with an impressive cover of “What Brings Life Also Kills” by Kolton Moore & The Clever Few. During his audition, Idol judge Luke Bryan praised the 24-year-old California native saying “your first note had me, I mean I started clapping and I didn’t even know my hands were clapping.”
Now On Sunday (Mar. 21), Beckham kicked off Hollywood week with a cover of Tyler Childers’ “Hard Times,” a song that Beckham says “relates” to him pretty well. The contestant stunned with his unique vocals that paired perfectly with his acoustic guitar.
His impressive cover of Childers was so amazing that he is advancing to the next round of Idol performances.
