Who is Carmine Appice? He just happens to be a rock god who has played drums for the legendary Vanilla Fudge (“Season of The Witch,” “You Keep Me Hanging On”) and co-wrote Rod Stewart’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy.” And he wasn’t done after inventing one of the most popular genres in rock either. He went ahead and created the world’s first-ever super-group with Jeff Beck. By this point in Carmine’s career, tons of drummers were checking out his tutorials.

Now, Carmine has released a two-album series called Guitar Zeus. He rightfully placed himself in the role of Zeus, due to working with some of the coolest rock heroes in the world. Guitar Zeus features musicians like Queen’s Brian May, Slash, Yngwie Malmsteen, Zakk Wylde, and Mick Mars, just to name just a few.

The track that caught our eye was “Nobody Knew” ft. Brian May. With a natural talent like Brian along with a mindset of changing the world for the better, he fit perfectly with this song. The lyrics of this song paint a picture of a world rent in pieces, environmental decline, and an all-too-relatable feeling that things are changing, and not for the better. Despite things changing negatively, this song was created to bring hope and solidarity back, because in the end, we’re all in this together.

HOPE is something we ALL can have to push things in the right direction.

You can find Guitar Zeus on vinyl/CD and on download/streaming platforms: http://smarturl.it/GuitarZeus
