Carly Pearce honored the men and women of Flight 93 with an emotional performance.
On the twentieth anniversary of September 11, 2001, the country superstar paid tribute to the men and women of Flight 93, who lost their lives in tragic crash in Shanksville, PA due to an act of terrorism. Performing live from the Flight 93 Memorial site in Pennsylvania, Pearce performed the emotion-filled song that she originally wrote to honor her late producer, Busbee.
“Earlier this week, a few of my band members & I traveled to Shanksville, PA for an unforgettable evening honoring the men & women of Flight 93 singing my song “Show Me Around,” Pearce captioned a series of photos via Instagram.
Pearce continued, “To say it was emotional was an understatement, but I truly looked up as I was singing and felt like I could feel the presence of all 40 of those heroes in the clouds above. A moment to pay tribute that I’ll never forget. Watch our performance tonight as part of the livestream of the 9/11 @opry special on @circleallaccess ❤️🙏 #neverforget”
Pearce’s performance even earned praise on Instagram by This Is Us star Chrissy Metz.
“It’s tough to get through this beautiful song-yet there is much healing and hope in every note,” Mets commented.
