She accepting the Award with her husband at her side holding her hand as she was shaking and shedding tears of joy for the winning such a high honor at the 2019 GRAMMYs for her album, Invasion Of Privacy. Thanking all of those involved in the creation of her album including her friends who featured on tracks within the album like SZA, Kehlani, Chance The Rapper, YG, Migos, 21 Savage, Bad Bunny, J.Balvin and more, then continuing to thank her daughter, Kulture.
Cardi B was up against Mac Miller’s ‘Swimming,’ Travis Scott’s ‘AstroWorld,’ Nipsey Hussle’s ‘Victory Lap,’ Pusha-T’s ‘DAYTONA.’ Cardi marks the first female solo artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
Cardi B received five nominations at the 2019 GRAMMYs, including Album of the year, Song of the Year (“I Like It”), Best Rap Performance (“Be Careful”), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the Maroon 5 collab “Girls Like You.”
