Camila Cabello fresh off of her first-ever sold out headlining ‘Never Be The Same Tour’ as a solo artist and now being added as direct support for Taylor Swift, on the one of the biggest tours in the world, the Reputation Stadium Tour. Touring with the Queen of pop music, Taylor Swift, we would definitely pronounce Cabello as the princess of pop and she proved just that while amping up the sold out stadium crowd in Philadelphia, PA at the Lincoln Financial Field on Friday the 13th.
Cabello’s set launched with a striking performance of her second single “Never Be The Same” from her debut solo album, CAMILA. Continuing into a flawlessly choreographed performance of a fan favorite from the debut album “She Loves Control,” where Cabello controlled her male dancers throughout the stage that the beautiful Cuban-American singer wowed the crowd on with an extraordinary 10-song setlist.
“You guys know, I am from Miami right? Well, lets turn the heat up on this next one” she said before going into her song “Inside Out” which blended perfectly with Sean Paul’s “Get Busy” for a sultry dance routine with her very talented group of dancers. Then performing the song that launched her solo career which was her collaborative effort with Machine Gun Kelly, “Bad Things,” in which Cabello perfectly performed the entire song even rapping MGK’s portions of the song and making the verses her own. Cabello’s cover of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love” made the crowd get very emotional and fall in love with her even more as she began to sing the legendary song, that the entire crowd helped her finish out.
Camila’s voice was really able to be showcased perfectly during songs like “Consequences,” “In The Dark,” and “Into It.” “Into It” brought catchy choruses and made the fans feel the need to dance along, With the sold out sea of fans instantly starting to dance along to the song even the parents attending with their children. Ending her amazing set with her smash hit debut single from her album, “Havana,” which every single person in the stadium was singing along to and dancing along with Cabello, almost as if the performance was choreographed with the fans.
Cabello’s performance supporting Taylor Swift on the Reputation Stadium Tour allowed her to really showcase her bold, gleaming, easy-going and sultry personality, spotlighting her powerhouse vocals, her style, and her vibrant Latin-inspired hits and dance moves, not to mention proving that she is the new definition of pop star, thats why we will label her the pop princess on this tour and she truly is appreciative of the success that she has earned as the smile did not leave her face at all during her performance even during Swift’s set where she later got to join Taylor on stage to sing “Shake It Off” with her in a Philadelphia Eagles jersey.
Cabello shined throughout her entire set and without a doubt is very confident and comfortable performing to sold out crowds as she sparkled in the spotlight in Philadelphia, we can totally see Cabello headlining this stadium in the very near future.
