Jimmie Allen will no longer be performing “Out In The Middle” with Zac Brown Band and Marcus King at the 2022 CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 9).

The country hitmaker and “Down Home” singer shared the unfortunate news with fans via Twitter.

“I was looking forward to performing with my friends @ZacBrownBand and @RealMarcusKing at the @countrymusic awards,” Allen wrote. “Unfortunately I’m under the weather and won’t be able to. I look forward to watching them and the other performers tonight.”

Additionally, Allen will soon guest star in Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas, which will also feature Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus and Zach Williams. The film will air on NBC later this year.

Allen is currently in the midst of touring with Carrie Underwood on her massive headlining trek, dubbed the Denim & Rhinestones Tour, which kicked off on October 15 in Greenville, South Carolina.

The 43-city trek runs through March 17, 2023. Tickets for the Denim & Rhinestones Tour are on sale now.

Allen recently opened up about the opportunity to tour with Underwood and said he believes her audience will embrace his unique musical style.

“I feel like with Carrie’s audience, I’ll be able to do my country stuff, my more pop-leaning stuff, my more Christian-leaning music,” Allen told E Online co-hosts Justin Sylvester and Loni Love. “I feel like I can be myself in its entirety musically without feeling like, ‘You know what? Maybe we should do this,’ even though I don’t ever do that.”

The 56th Annual CMA Awards will feature performances from Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Cody Johnson, and Carly Pearce.

The show will open with an all-star tribute to the late Loretta Lynn from Underwood, Reba McEntire and Lambert.

Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, and Lainey Wilson will join together to honor the 2022 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Alan Jackson.

Additionally, the show will includ star-studded collaborations from Kelsea Ballerini, Kelly Clarkson and Carly Pearce, HARDY and Lainey Wilson, Elle King with The Black Keys, Brothers featuring The War and Treaty, Thomas Rhett and Katy Perry, Chris Stapleton with Patty Loveless, Zac Brown Band, Jimmie Allen and Marcus King as well as Ashley McBryde with Pillbox Patti, Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack and John Osborne.

Mookie Betts, BRELAND, Jessica Chastain, Jordan Davis, Sarah Drew, Cole Hauser, Tyler Hubbard, Wynonna Judd, Lady A, Rex Linn, Little Big Town, Parker McCollum, Reba McEntire, Ben and Erin Napier, Jeannie Seely, Michael Shannon, and Lainey Wilson are scheduled to present during the ceremony.

Co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, the 2022 CMA Awards will broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and aired on ABC (8:00-11:00 PM/ET).

The CMA Awards will also be available for viewing on Hulu beginning Thursday, Nov. 10.
