Fast rising country singer and recent signee of Big Yellow Dog Music, Brandon Davis shared a heart-wrenching new holiday song, “One More Christmas Eve” on Friday (Nov. 26).

“He said Mama don’t you worry I know just what to do / I wrote Santa Claus a letter and I know that he’ll pull through / And I told him to bring daddy home to be with you and me / And asked him if he’d help me stick around for One More Christmas Eve,” Davis sings during the emotional holiday song’s chorus.

The self-penned tune was inspired by a young boy battling cancer’s last Christmas wish.

“Years ago, I stumbled across an online interview where a Santa was going around to different hospitals and visiting children with cancer,” Davis explained to Music Mayhem. “He asked each of them what they wanted for Christmas and most asked for toys and video games like any kid would. But one little boy said all he wanted for Christmas was to be able to see one more Christmas Eve with his family.”

Davis continued, “Santa began crying as he shared this, and it really hit me hard and the story stuck with me. So I felt the story should be shared, and songwriting has always been the best avenue for me to share what’s on my heart.”

The Tennessee native has been sitting on this song for quite some time, as he never had the chance to release it. However, after signing with Big Yellow Dog Music, he was presented with the opportunity to release a festive track, and he knew this had to be the one as it means so much to him.

“I’ve always wanted to release a Christmas song but never had the chance till this year. So once the opportunity opened up for a release, I knew in my heart this was the one it had to be,” Davis said. “This song means so much to me, and I’m thankful to finally be able to share it with the world.”

“One More Christmas Eve” marks Davis’ third release via his new label home, Big Yellow Dog Music, and follows “Minus You” and his self-penned single, “The Kitchen,” which marked his label debut at Big Yellow Dog Music

Minus You” is a small town anthem co-written by Davis alongside Sam Koon and producer Josh Bricker.

Reminiscent of Sam Hunt’s “Breakup In A Small Town,” “Minus You” finds Davis crooning over breaking up with a significant other in a small town and no matter where you go you just can’t seem to get away from that person.

“It’s a small-town breakup anthem,” the father of four told PEOPLE of the new song. “When you break up in a small town, even if the person moves away, no matter where you go, you’re seeing that person in that town because everywhere is where they were, so you can’t get away from it.’

Additionally, Davis, who exploded on TikTok with over 1.5 million followers and 11.2 million likes, signed his deal with Big Yellow Dog Music in late October.

“When Jacee Badeaux (Creative Director) brought Brandon to our attention, we knew we had to sign him,” says Big Yellow Dog Music co-owner and CEO Carla Wallace. “First, we loved his songs and his performance, but we all fell for his charm and his passion once we met the Chattanooga boy and his family, which consists of four kids, wow!”

The singer continues to use the TikTok platform to grow his fan base while showcasing his vocal talents and expertise as a husband and father of four. The singer has lots of music in the works and often teases it through his TikTok.

The singer’s previous releases of “What Cowboys are For,” “More Than A Flag,” “Step by Step,” and “Destiny” landed him top spots on the iTunes Country and All-Genre Charts.
