What do Twenty One Pilots, Tame Impala and Travis Scott have in common? They’re all slated to perform and headline this year’s tenth edition of Boston Calling. The festival has been rapidly growing on success since it’s inaugural year, and this year’s lineup is a true sign of it’s perpetual growth.
Staying relevant in the music festival industry is a hard thing to do. However, Boston Calling has done just that, with an always explosive lineup of headliners mixed with some of todays best up and coming acts, Boston Calling has once again given fans a lineup that will most definitely make it a Memorial Day weekend to remember.
Headlining their respected days are the aforementioned Twenty One Pilots, Travis Scott and Tame Impala. That’s right there is a lot for the average fan to be excited about, but when you mix in the likes of Janelle Monae, Logic, Brandi Carlile, Hozier, Lord Huron, Black Star(Yasiin Bey/Talib Kweli) and one of the hottest acts out there right now Anderson Paak, it’s hard to find a single flaw with the lineup. This year should be something truly special.
As always, Boston Calling will feature foods from some of the best restaurants in the city as well as an ample beer selection to wash down those “cheat day” or better yet “cheat weekend” calories. If you’re not hungry but looking for a laugh, Boston Calling also has the Arena Stage where some of todays best and brightest comedians will take the stage. Fred Armisen, Micahel Che, Jenny Slate and Lamont Price are all slated to perform in the Arena as well as performances by Imogen Heap, Boston Ballet and Chromeo will also be doing a DJ set as well.
Don’t hesitate and just take the leap. Making the decision to come see what Boston Calling is all about will be one of the best decisions you make. Great food, great people and the best acts in music, what more could you ask for?
