Black Veil Brides have announced that they have parted ways with longtime bassist Ashley Purdy, after he was with the band for the past 10 years. Black Veil Brides posted on their social media saying, “Black Veil Brides and Ashley Purdy have mutually agreed to part ways. We have enjoyed a wonderful run together and both parties wish one another continued success moving forward.”
This news comes just days after Black Veil Brides announced their 2020 tour supporting In This Moment.
Purdy has been in the band since 2009, appearing on the recordings of their debut album (We Stitch These Wounds) in 2010, Set The World on Fire in 2011, Wretched And Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones in 2013, Self-Titled in 2014 and Vale in 2018.
Ashley Purdy has not yet released any kind of statement of his own but we shall keep you updated on the progress of this as it develops.
