Billie Eilish made her debut to the Oscars stage tonight (Feb. 9), for a performance during the Memoriam segment of the show, her and her brother Finneas took to the stage for a heartbreaking cover of The Beatles’ “Yesterday,” while a slideshow of the celebrities who are no longer with us played including the late, Kobe Bryant. Eilish was dressed in a stunning black sparkling Gucci outfit, sat down belting out the song’s lyrics while brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, played the piano.
Celebrities like Ellen Degeneres said, “@billieeilish that was heartbreakingly beautiful. #TheOscars” and country artists Dan + Shay tweeted, “wow, @billieeilish. absolutely incredible..”
“Honored to be performing during the in memoriam segment for the oscars tonight covering a song i’ve always loved,” Eilish wrote.
