To celebrate the project’s arrival, the “Queen of Bounce” paid a visit to The Wendy Williams Show yesterday. Taking the stage, the New Orleans legend delivered a raucous rendition of the title track “Louder” [feat. Icona Pop]. As always, her endless charisma resounded in the high-energy performance. Watch it HERE.

Beyond putting up over half-a-million streams and nearly 1 million views on the music video, “Louder” inspired widespread critical applause. In addition to looks from Pitchfork and more, Rolling Stone favored it as “dance-ready, Billboard called it “catchy, and Idolator christened it, “a hip-hop anthem with a delightfully queer twist.

“Louder” remains just one of many standouts on the EP. Last month, Big Freedia re-teamed with her “Raising Hell” partner-in-crime Kesha for the latest single “Chasing Rainbows. Thus far, it has posted up close to 800,000 streams. Paper described it best as “Rambunctious and commanding, the second single from the forthcoming Louder EP is classic Freedia with a visual to match.Additionally, MTV crowned it “the happiest video of the year.Check out the music video below:

Elsewhere on Louder, handclaps and whistles intoxicate on “She Tipsy. Wild verses give way to slick and simmering call-and-response chants. As a whole, the EP shines a light on every side of her genre-blurring style. Steeped in Big Easy instrumental virtuosity, New Orleans staples, The Soul Rebels lay down an unbreakable horn-powered groove on the opener “Pipe That” as our star volleys vocals back and forth with Icona Pop once more. It all culminates on the cheeky chant, “Ooh baby, I like that. Ooh baby, I’d pipe that.” The five-track set concludes on the sassy send-off “GTFOMF” [feat. Lil Aaron]. Throughout every tune, she pushes a mantra of letting your personality ring out as loudly as you possibly can! The full track-listing is enclosed.

Detailing her thoughts behind the Louder EP, Big Freedia comments, “We are so often told to be small or to shrink. Louder is about being loud and proud of who you are and celebrating your unique style and identity.”

Big Freedia has recently popped up everywhere from Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, the American Music Awards, and Late Show with Stephen Colbert to Facebook’s high-profile More Together Campaign during the 2020 GRAMMY® Awards to forecasting the weather on New Orleans’ WWL-TV morning show.

Next up, she takes flight as direct support to Kesha on the High Road Tour, kicking off at Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land, TX and hitting major markets coast-to-coast. The full itinerary can be found HERE.

Big Freedia turns up the volume more than ever in 2020 with Louder!
