August Roads is making waves again with his acoustic-style new single, “F*#K” released on Apple Music and Spotify. The critically-acclaimed budding pop singer’s recent release, “Flat On My Face,” organically racked up nearly 100K streams in just one a month. Hand-picked as a Soundcloud Repost Select emerging artist, Road’s record “SLOW DOWN” was featured on Soundcloud’s Dash Radio station.
“F*#K” is a passionately relatable emo-pop song about pushing away someone you really like because you know their toxic love is just not right for you. Ultimately, in your gut you know the best thing is to move on. Roads collaborated on the record with tastemaker Producer/DJ Sweater Beats (Chance The Rapper, Flume, Chet Faker) and remixer and producer Rell The Soundbender (Skrillex, Diplo, Jim Jones, Flo-Rida).
The Bay-area bred pop artist’s genre-bending and whimsical perspective on life comes through in his music and is influenced by his seven plus years as an Actor in popular television comedies, drama and horror films. Roads released his debut EP Highs and Lows in September 2019, accompanied by exciting, unique music videos. Two songs from the project received critical acclaim for their placement in Hulu’s original series “Normal People” in 2020. Following the EP, he released three more singles with videos to give the world a glimpse into his multi-sided genre: “Down N’ Out”, “Do the Most”, and “ZZZ”.
Although his sound can be categorized as contemporary Pop/R&B, Roads music is unapologetically naked and unique. As an artist, he wants everyone to find a piece of themselves to celebrate through his music. Roads reminds fans to air their struggles with anxiety and depression through humor and creativity. For August, music is an outlet to reach others with similar challenges and let them know they’re are not alone.
