After breaking records earlier this year with the release of her fifth studio album, Thank u, Next, songstress Ariana Grande has been teasing fans with her next venture via Instagram.

The American superstar took to social media recently to unveil some much awaited details about her upcoming perfume release. The post was made after rumors about the fragrance, also called Thank u, Next, had been circulating for weeks.

Intriguing Clues

In the post, Grande was careful not to provide too much information, but dropped a few cryptic clues concerning the upcoming launch.

“So i’ve been working on a ‘thank u, next’ fragrance … & i can’t wait for u to see/smell her” said the singer in the Instagram post from Sunday May 5. Clearly, Grande is excited to share her newest perfume with the world, with the post hinting toward a distinctive new bottle design.

“She’s like ‘ari’ if we went to the beach one time.” she continued. Fans will be excited at the prospect that the new fragrance will have a distinct summer tone, whilst remaining true to the much-loved ‘ari’ fragrance. Perhaps the singer’s best-selling perfume to date, the ‘ari’ perfume has become wildly popular amid Grande’s enormous global following.

The Seven Rings singer continued in the post: “i don’t think i was supposed to announce this today but i’m excited and it smells divine so f**k it … “

Grande then added a cheek nod to the group behind the fragrance, who she may well have irritated with the early post. The singer finished with: “hi perfume team love u”.

Again, the 25-year-old diva is clearly ecstatic at the prospect of releasing her newest fragrance, so much so that she may have given away too much. Indeed, the fact that she probably wasn’t supposed to make the reveal will thrill fans and drum up yet more anticipation for the release, which is sure to be announced in another social media post to be expected any day now.

Wildly Popular Perfumes

Another chunk of information from the post comes from the inclusion of a coconut emoji, which may provide fans with an idea of what they can expect from the fragrance. Certainly, a tropical direction would thrill fans who have already come to love the light, fruity and extremely feminine profile of previous fragrances released by the singer.

Up until now, Grande has released four perfumes for women, in addition to a unisex fragrance named Frankie. The female-focused scents are named Cloud, Moonlight, Sweet Like Candy and Ari. Having been wildly popular amid Grande’s devout fanbase, it’s no wonder that the megastar has decided to release another new fragrance.

Fans are excited at the prospect of a new perfume release from the singer

The fragrances have garnered huge popularity for their their use of berry scents accompanied with hints of vanilla, honey and marshmallow. Another key element in the success of Grande’s perfumes has been the highly-conceptualized bottle designs, which tend to feature key-fob accessories such as pom-poms.

Since the release of her first perfume back in 2015, Grande is reported to have amassed over $200m in fragrance sales alone, making her one of the pop industry’s wealthiest figures. This income, coupled with the money earned from Grande’s huge merchandise sales and relentless arena touring schedule, amounts to a reported net worth of around $50m.

Unparalleled Popularity

This year, Grande is set to embark on yet another tour to mark the record-breaking success of Thank u, Next. Playing arenas across the globe, Grande looks set to add to her already considerable fortune.

The tour includes three headline shows at London’s iconic o2 arena. The British capital is already home to many international events across the entertainment industry and is becoming something of a hub for global pop stars.

If Grande continues to sell out arenas and achieve commercial success with her perfumes, there’s no telling the levels of success that the star could achieve. Interestingly, there have been lots of rumors recently about the singer potentially releasing a full range of Thank u, Next-themed beauty products, which could include make-up, moisturizers, shower gels, facial scrubs, lotions, balms, oils and who knows what else.
