Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and The Weeknd Lead MTV Video Music Awards Nominations

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards nominations are here, just one month to the date of the awards ceremony.

Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga lead with nine nominations each, while Billie Eilish and The Weeknd each follow behind with six nominations each. All four appear in the highly coveted Video of the Year category, which finds Eilish’s “Everything I Wanted” going toe-to-toe with Eminem and Juice WRLD’s “Godzilla,” Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good,” Gaga and Grande’s “Rain on Me,” Taylor Swift’s “The Man,” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”

The 2020 VMAs will air live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, August 30 across MTV’s linear and digital platforms from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, as well as from various iconic locations throughout New York City’s five boroughs.
