Dolly Parton addressed the rumors that her “famous body parts” a.k.a. her boobs are insured.
On Wednesday (Jan. 26), during an interview on Today With Hoda & Jenna, the country music icon cleared the air on if her breasts are insured for millions of dollars. After chatting about Heidi Klum getting her legs insured, hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager asked Parton to “set the record straight” of an internet rumor that said the country icon had two of her famous body parts insured.
Parton laughed as Kotb and Bush Hager asked her the question, but she did confirm that the rumors are false. “Well, It’s not true about that,” Parton said.
The “9 to 5” singer went on to explain, “years ago, was it [actress] Betty Grable? Or one of the great famous stars that was famous also for her legs? And at that time I said, ‘Well maybe I should get my boobs insured since I’m famous for them,’ but it was just a joke. I didn’t do that.”
Kotb and Bush Hager went on to praise the 76-year-old singer before congratulating her on all the projects she is working on, including her cake mix collaboration with Duncan Hines, her upcoming new album and book ‘Run Rose Run” and more.
“By the way, you can get new boobs, but you can’t get new legs,” Parton joked in typical Dolly fashion.

There have been a few odd rumors that have surfaced online about Parton over the years, including her tattoos and boobs. However, they don’t phase Parton. The country music legend actually thinks they’re funny, as she admits she “always laughs at them.”
In September 2020, the “Jolene” singer told PEOPLE about one of the rumors she often sees online. “One [that] shows up about every three years in the tabloids, where I’m bedridden because my boobs are so heavy that I’m crippled for life on my back. I just laugh. Well, they are heavy, but they haven’t crippled me yet.”
Parton told PEOPLE that the headline would typically be something that begins with “Dolly Bedridden,” she continued, “And then they find a picture of me, from when I was actually doing a video, you know, laying on all the bed somewhere. And the story is that my spine is injured or whatever. I just think, ‘Oh my Lord. If they were that heavy, I’d have them changed. I’d have them lessened.’”

Dolly Parton recently partnered with Duncan Hines to create her own line of cakes and frosting mixes inspired by her Tennessee roots.
Before the cake mixes even hit store shelves, the limited-edition kit consisting of coconut and banana cake mixes, two flavors of creamy buttercream frosting and several baking tools became available on Duncan Hines’ website on January 26. The kit and cake mixes sold out within hours. Two recipe cards and a tea towel and spatula with the phrase, “if you are what you eat, then why not be sweet” written on it is also included in the box, along with a personalized note from Parton herself.
The cake mixes and frosting in vibrant pink packaging will be sold for about $2 in grocery stores and mass retailers beginning in March, but those interested in the full southern-style kit can still be added to the email list to be notified when it is back in stock.
