Meet Anna Grace, the 20-year-old Milwaukee native whose stunning vocals and performance of Billie Eilish’s “My Future” earned her a coveted four-chair turn from coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Nick Jonas.

Following her performance, the coaches praised her impressive vocal abilities and range.

“Welcome to The Voice,” Legend said as she concluded her performance. “You’re a four chair turn! I love all the nuance that you showed and you made such cool choices musically. It was really, really beautiful.”

“I love that song, it just sounds kind of ethereal and you get to use your head voice a lot and as a female, I love that,” Clarkson said. “It’s just a really cool contemporary take on an old school vibe. I love your voice, I was already thinking of several songs, that would be cool even to take that approach on.”

“I thought you did a really good job of walking the line between the way Billie Eilish approaches her vocals and also being certain that being aware of your range and the strength of your voice. So, I loved it and I do think that you’re somebody that really has to be protected on a show like this. And not let too many outside influences distract you from the path that you want to be on. Nick even turned to me during the audition and was like ‘man she would sound great doing country’ and I was like Nick I don’t think she would sound good doing country at all, I don’t think that’s her thing. I just think it’s important to keep your eye on the ball and know who you are and not be distracted by the wrong coach.”

“That is a perfect segway, this show is all about great voices obviously and you are one of the best we’ve heard,” Jonas added. “In all seriousness, you’re phenomenal, I love your voice and it would be an honor to coach you.”

After much thought and anticipation, Grace decided to go with Kelly Clarkson as her coach on The Voice.
