The official motion picture soundtrack to Warner Bros. Pictures, Live Nation Productions and Metro Goldwyn Pictures’ A Star Is Born has sold over 6 million albums globally and 2 million album equivalent units domestically. Released via Interscope Records, the album has been certified double platinum in the US by the RIAA.

Upon release, the official motion picture soundtrack A Star Is Born debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, with over 231,000 in equivalent album consumption units. Since its release, the album has been #1 four times and is the biggest selling album of 2019 thus far in the U.S. The album marks Lady Gaga’s fifth consecutive #1 album and puts her in the lead for the most #1 albums by a female artist this decade. The Soundtrack has also earned the highest album-sales week for a music film soundtrack since Frozen in April 2014, and the biggest week for a soundtrack since the Fifty Shades of Grey album in 2015. In addition, the album reached #1 on iTunes in over 75 countries, including the U.S. It has also debuted at #1 on the Official UK Top 40 Albums Chart.

The double album features new music from its principal stars: Academy Award and six-time GRAMMY®

Award winner Lady Gaga and the film’s director, seven-time Oscar nominated, BAFTA and GRAMMY® Award winner Bradley Cooper.

Performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, the soundtrack’s lead single “Shallow” won a 2019 Academy Award for Original Song, a Golden Globe for Best Original Song and received two wins including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, and two additional nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. The song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the iTunes U.S. Songs chart. The original song was written by Lady Gaga, Mark RonsonAnthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt.
