5 Seconds of Summer have obtained their third number one record with their latest album, Youngblood, which has made 5SOS the first Australian band to have earned three No. 1 album on the Billboard Top 200, but not only that they have become the first band ever to have their first three records go to No.1 in the United States. 5SOS’s Youngblood follows both their 2015 release of Sounds Good Feels Good and their 2014 release of their self-titled album at No. 1 on the list.
As if that success wasn’t enough for 5SOS, the band also finished above one of the most powerful couples in music, The Carters (Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce), and Christina Aguilera. 5SOS’s album Youngblood dropped just slightly over a week ago on June 15th, 2018 and According to Billboard Magazine, the record arose to the top the list with 142,000 album units in the week ending June 21st, of that sum 117,000 were in traditional album sales.

Congratulations 5 Seconds of Summer!
to think that 4 dudes from Western Sydney could even have a chance against two of the most successful artists of all time is insane. we would be the first band in history to have our first three albums go #1 in the US. we are so close. 5sos fam for life. pic.twitter.com/BeW73XFvGC
