Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor‘s new book America 51: A Probe Into The Realities That Are Hiding Inside The Greatest Country In The World will be released on August 15th. The book was originally set for a July 11 release; No reason has been given for the delay. Meanwhile, as its title suggests, Taylor tells The Guardian his fourth book will “deal with everything from politics to social commentary. It’s going to piss off a lot of people in this country (America), but everyone else will love it.” Taylor tells us that the tone of the book reflects his feelings during last year’s U.S. presidential campaign and the wake of the election in November:
“It’s just one of those things, like, the more I read what people say and thing, it’s like how fucking far off the mark was I on where this country was? And I don’t know if that makes me angry at them or angry at myself, but it’s certainly a mindfuck…It’ll almost be a post-election kind of a vibe.”
Corey Taylor is also currently working on a new album with Stone Sour that’s expected to be released this year sometime. The group will be touring with KORN this summer as well as playing festivals say as Rock USA in Wisconsin and Chicago Open Air.
